Gathering spots run out but come back over time. Players report bugs respawn reliably; the tutorial says coral returns every 2 to 3 days, though not everyone saw it happen in the demo. If one spot is empty, move on to the next.

Research and skill trees
Blueprints are unlocked with Scraps of Knowledge in the research (Mastery) screen. Unlocking a blueprint doesn't give you the item; you still craft it at the right station. The developer has also announced a Fishing Skill Tree for new tackle and a Ship Upgrade Skill Tree for the trawler (see trawler upgrades).
Tips
- A whole fish isn't Fish Meat. If a recipe shows 0/1 Fish Meat, grind a fish first.
- Keep a few Chromatic Scales: you need them for the hull quest and again for Rainbow Fin.
- Save Scraps of Knowledge for the blueprints the quest needs before trying other research.
- Crafted boat parts may go to storage, not your inventory. Check the Storage Locker before crafting another.
